Meet the Fashion Industry Insiders

Meet the Fashion Industry Insiders

On Thursday, September 26, the Fashion Program at Delta College will hosts its annual "Meet the Fashion Industry Insiders" event in Delta's Tillie Lewis Theater, 5 - 7 p.m. The event is an evening of casual conversations between "Industry Insiders" about their careers, industry experiences, advice and more!

The "Industry Insiders" represent an array of specializations from design, to celebrity styling, to product development, offering insights that should not be missed. These professionals will impart a wealth of experience and wisdom to share with those attending. Not only that, this event is FREE to the public!

Stylish Moms of Teething Babies

Stylish Moms of Teething Babies

It's true, you can be the mom to a beautiful teething, drooling baby and still be gorgeous and stylish!

I know this because I found this unique necklace made of unfinished natural wood beads wrapped and knotted in beautiful fabric that can be made of organic fabric that matches your style!

Oh... so... pretty!

Ashlee of TweetBabyDesigns on Etsy is the creator of these lovely necklaces. And I am in awe of how she finds the time to make them considering she is a stay at home mom to six home-schooled kiddos... I think her nickname should be Super Woman.

More about the necklaces...

The wood provides the perfect resistance and pressure to help babies cut their teeth and the fabric absorbs the fool that is inevitable at this teething stage.

The fabric is high quality, organic, designer, 100% cotton and the beads are unfinished wood.

Back to School shopping [Guest Post]

Back to School shopping [Guest Post]

Hi everyone! My name is Hope and I write the blog Hope and the Dress Code. I’m a school counselor and work in a district that with a dress code more like a corporation, less like a typical school.

Ok on to why I’m here: It’s almost time to go BACK TO SCHOOL shopping!! This is one of my favorite times of the year because it gives me free reign to go crazy-shopping with no guilt!! Totally kidding of course, I’m definitely working within a budget, but it does give me a set time of year to reevaluate pieces I need/want in my closet. Whether you work in education or not, this is a great time to add some new pieces to your work wardrobe.

My DREAM back to school shopping list is a mix of current trends and more classic pieces:

1. Mid-length skirt

Spice up workplace outfits with color [Guest Post]

Spice up workplace outfits with color [Guest Post]

I'm Kileen from cute and little and I couldn't be happier to guest post for Angeline as she moves across the country {how exciting, right?}!  I love Angeline's blog and how she shows wearable work-appropriate fashion for all of us 9-to-5ers out there.  In keeping with her theme, I wanted to share some tips on how I spice up my everyday workplace outfits with some color.  Dressing for the office doesn't have to mean greys, blacks, and beiges anymore.
